STEPPER MOTOR CONTROLLERS

We offer a large selection of different types of stepper motor controllers from several international agencies. Below you can see the range of our stepper motor controllers.

Stepper motors consist of electromagnets centered around a shaft that alternately receive voltage. A stepper motor typically has 50 to 100 electrical poles that are activated in steps. A full rotation is thus divided into a series of steps – hence the name ‘step’ motor. This stepwise constant motion means that a stepper motor is often controlled by open-loop, thus eliminating the cost and complexity of an encoder.

We can of course put together the motor control with electric motor, gear and accessories that are necessary for your particular project. Contact us for a non-binding talk about your project – with us you get expert advice with more than 35 years of experience.

    miControl MCDSA-S4X stepper motor controller

    miControl MCDSA-S4X

The stepper motor controllers from German miControl are particularly suitable for stepper motors with speed control and positioning. The devices are easy to configure and program and can be used for CANopen, PROFIBUS DP, EtherCAT and Modbus RTU protocols. The stepper motor controllers also have a built-in MPU (Motion Process Unit), which allows instructions to be stored without the need for an external PLC.

The mcDSA-S4x family is designed for stepper motors that require high power. These provide an output of up to 20A and fit directly into a DIN rail.
