MiR100 and MiR200
About Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR)
Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) produce collaborative autonomous robots used in various industries to automate internal transportation and logistics.
The autonomous mobile robots (AMR) from MiR consist of four variants, each with different carrying capacities, sizes, maximum speed, and battery life. The robots are versatile and capable of handling tasks ranging from moving small parts to heavy pallets. Different top modules are available, allowing you to customize the robots for the specific task. At GCM, we have been involved in developing motor and gear solutions for the two smallest models, MiR100 and MiR200.
The implementation of MiR’s autonomous robots optimizes work processes while freeing up employee resources. This enables increased productivity and cost reduction for the customer as the robots effectively take over internal transportation and logistics tasks.
Project description
MiR runs completely autonomously and can easily navigate around obstacles in its path using built-in software that automatically detects traffic in real-time, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. It also means there’s no need to change the workplace environment, which can often be costly.
The integrated electric motor and gears that keep the autonomous robot moving are designed to brake, stop, and drive around people or obstacles without compromising safety. The geared motor must also be able to transport loads of different weights, as the robot can be used for several customer-specific tasks.
Developed by GCM
For the smallest MiR robots, MiR100 and MiR200, we at GCM have developed customer-specific drive units, including a DC gear motor with encoder that makes the robot move. The geared motor is specially developed for the requirements and specifications of autonomous robots where performance, reliability, and low noise levels are important elements.
