Lyngsoe Systems develops automation systems for libraries that use advanced technology for efficient handling, moving, and sorting of materials.<\/p>\n

With the automation system, library users have the option for self-service borrowing and returning of books at the library. The automated handling of materials reduces costs and the physical strain associated with manual handling. This results in a more ergonomic solution for library staff, as the need for lifting materials is minimized.<\/p>\n

Project description<\/h2>\n

The automation system consists of a sorting solution with compact and flexible modules that can easily be adapted to the individual needs of a library. These modules are equipped with electric motors that drive the movement on the sorting conveyor, ensuring that each book is precisely guided to its intended destination.<\/p>\n

For this solution, we at GCM developed a specially designed DC gear motor with planetary gears and an encoder with customer-specific additions. These motors are integrated into the modular system and ensure the advancement of the material. Some modular systems are also designed to move laterally or to the side, while other modules can lift the material to optimize the filling speed of small carts with shelves\/racks into which the material must be placed. This minimizes the need for manual intervention and ensures more efficient sorting.<\/p>\n

The sorting system operates at high speed, which means that materials are processed faster than would be possible with manual labor. The operation is also quiet, which provides a peaceful work environment without distractions or loud mechanical noises that interrupt the workflow.<\/p>\n
