An encoder is a type of sensing device that provides feedback. Encoders convert motion into an electrical signal that can be used to determine position, count, speed or direction. A controller can then use this information to send a command to a specific function. They are therefore primarily used in motion feedback and motion control applications, such as industrial controllers, robotics, photographic lenses and rotating radar platforms. <\/span><\/p>\n

The AEM30 encoder from PWB-Encoders is one of the smallest multiturn encoders ever with a weight of just 37 g.<\/p>\n

This space-saving encoder makes it possible to implement miniature feedback solutions for applications with high demands on precision and reliability. The encoder is also suitable for use in high-speed applications that need to operate in harsh environments.<\/p>\n

With a resolution of 36 bits at speeds up to 10,000 rpm and continuous operation of 16 million revolutions, you get a reliable, low-cost encoder that delivers high performance in a compact size that quickly and easily can be attached to different sizes of motor shafts.<\/p>\n

The encoder measures 42.5 x 31 x 23.9 mm and is housed in a robust plastic housing that withstands shock and vibration.<\/p>\n
